I’m glad you’re stopping by my little corner of the internet. I hope you’ll enjoy learning a bit about me and what God’s been up to in my life as you browse these pages.
If there was only one thing that I could say to you, it’s that all God ever wants us to be is who we are in Him. It's what we are made for, and where we will find our greatest delight. Oh, if we would only let go of all that we can see and touch and hold so dear to trust Him! It’s scary for most of us – heck, it’s scary for me! Sometimes it seems easier to bear the pain that we know rather than jump in for a road trip where only He has the map and sits in the driver’s seat. Where we are is so familiar. Out there, only He knows what can happen!
Thank God in His mercy that He doesn’t leave us where we are. Even if He has to make “here” uncomfortable and messy to get us moving. So often it’s only when we look back that we can see how stuck and burdened we used to be, and be thankful that we’re not there anymore. There are hills and valleys and dark tunnels still to go through. There may even be a few rest stops along the way. But God calls us to get back into the car with Him and press forward. We’re not there yet, and He won’t let us settle in anyplace short of our destination.
So, I’ve been trying to spend more time riding shotgun than struggling for the wheel lately. As a result, I’ve seen and learned some things I'd like to share. Feel free to drop me a line anytime and let me know what you think!
